Welcome

Welcome to the web site of The Royal Britannian Guards. Please have a look around and share in our founder, Zeke Stargazer's vision. We seek new members who share our values of Honor, Courage, and Loyalty. Thank you for visiting.

Daria Blackmoore
Guild Leader

The Royal Britannian Guards guild is an organized association of people who enjoy roleplay and interaction in the lands of Ultima Online. Inspired by the Commander of the Royal Britannian Guard, Myrina Heron; the guild brings people who wish to be Royal Guards together on the Chesapeake Shard. It is a simple way to unite the Royal Guards and people who wish to be them.

You will see that there are no obligations to fulfill and no events you have to attend (although we'd love to see you there!). It is just a place to have fun. Also, we do not condone player murder and do not war. However we do offer wars under sister guilds for fun. For a definition of the difference between murder and killing please see our library section. If you don't play the game that much, don't sweat it. Whenever you do play, you should be able to find another member to interact with.

The best part about the guild is its' many diverse people. We have folks from Switzerland to Mississippi and we promote team work and not just an "on your own" roleplaying experience! The goal of this guild is to bring unity to people who wish to be in the Royal Britannian Guards.

Thank you for taking your time to check us out. If you feel your style of play matches ours please apply using the link below, so we will know you are interested.

The War of Shadows well under way!
D. Blackmoore, Nov 8, 08 1:22 PM
It's publish bonanza these next few weeks as the "War of Shadows" is upon us all. Beginning with publish 56 the shard is now bestowed with many avenues of adventure. Cities from around the realm are now under siege from the forces of chaos. Halloween quests remain available in the now accessible Khaldun dungeon in trammel. Along with strange pillars standing tall in cemetaries around the realm. To top it all off a chance to rebuild the city of Magincia to it's former glory. Complete quest and publish information can be found here
As we travel the realm in search of these new quests, items, and conquests lets us not remember to covet thy guildmates and keep them from harm, help them when in need, and most of all do the guild proud in all our ventures. The quests and such are currently scheduled to end on Nov. 17th 2008 some may not have seen all the quests or may need help from those who have already completed them. Dont feel shy to give a yell if you need help competing any step, we're all here to help.  Here's a few pics of the current action....

We were even privy to a glitch in which the Ileshnar champions dropped powerscrolls as the Felucca champions do. we managed to run four ratman spawns along with an undead during the evening. What a good time that was. Too bad they wont be leaving them that way!

Factions is still well underway as the Crimson Guard has welcomed many new members. Once the events are concluded we'll be getting back to the sigil action in a much more organized effort. For now enjoy the shards ongoing good stuff!

HOSTAGE PT 2
Wat the Tyler, Oct 20, 08 5:42 PM
Wat the Tyler and Gowron entered the Guardians Gate Templar Commandery solemnly to find Templar Jacques DeMolay in the main hall tending to the daily routines.
"Lord DeMolay, we have troubling news." Wat reported.  "We have received a message that Templar Thomas Berard was taken hostage during his pilgrimage to the Tokuno Shrines."
"This is most disturbing news."  Jacques DeMolay responded.  "First, the foul Solus wreeks havoc upon our city and navy, and now this."  He stood up and turned to the craftsman Bashir.  "Goodman Bashir, please go upstairs and
arrange for my formal armor for donning."  Facing back to Wat and Gowron he stated "I shall proceed at once to the meeting of the Royal Britannian Guards and rally them.  Gowron, make preparations to lead our response mission
to rescue Templar Berard.  This dastardly act will not go unpunished!"
Jacques DeMolay went upstairs and reflected on how he was going to address the noble members of the Guard knowing he had so rarely done so in the past.  "I really should get out and about more often."  He thought to himself.  Bashir had just exited his chamber, bowed respectfully, and announced that the preparations have been made.  "Very well, Goodman.
Please help me don my armor.  I'm getting up in age, and it is not as easy as it had once been before."
Jacques DeMolay attended the meeting and requested of Lady Daria to have a moment to make his formal announcement and request for aid from the Guards to which she kindly granted him the podium.  He was quite relieved that his absence had not detracted from the Guards' noble desire to provide relief for those in distress.  Many had pledged their most dedicated of efforts in effecting the rescue, and there were no doubts in his mind that those pledges would be fulfilled.  With that, he departed, and rode back to the Commandery to ensure Gowron had successfully made his preparations.  He was quite pleased that Gowron had already been fully equipped and was ready to ride.
"I am ready to depart and round up the Guards at the Taphouse."  Gowron reported.  "I hope to return with Lord Berard in a most healthy state."
"May the Virtues be with you, Gowron.  Now make haste, lest Serrado see's fit to move or kill Thomas Berard."
Gowron didn't even flinch, but kicked his spurs into the horse and sped to the Taphouse to rally the Guards.  Upon his arrival, he was pleased to see many of the Guards present and ready.  A moon gate was conjured, and the rescue party entered Tokuno just to the south of Serado's lair.  Upon arrival it was quick to notice that Serado must have known they were comming.
The party was greeted by Serado's Kappa minions rather than the usual Lizardmen that defended his outter perimeters.  The fight was rough and casualties were heavy in the push to the alter, but alas, it was sufficient enough to draw Serado out, and sufficient enough to defeat him.  However, no signs of Thomas Berard were to be seen.  The Guards quickly searched the fallen enemies and retrieved many clues that would be examined to determine Berard's fate.
Over the next few days, Wat, Gareck, and Ali Babba carefully studied the clues retrieved from the battlefield while Gowron returned to the scene of the fighting.
"Hmmmm, Wat, why would demon blood be found in that area?"  Gareck asked as he noticed a bit on a buckler shield that was retrieved.
"It is a bit of an anomoly, I admit." was about all Wat could come up with as he rubbed his chin.  Just then Gowron came busting in.  "I found drag marks heading to the North!"
"Gareck, fetch me that map of Tokuno." Wat said, and immediately saw the obvious.  "Gowron, round up the Guards!  Lord Thomas Berard was moved to the Fan Dancer Dojo!"

Auction Rotation Underway!
D. Blackmoore, Oct 19, 08 1:33 PM
The cities auction has added a new ally this week as the city of Pax Oku and its PakRatOku auction house have begun a biweekly auction rotation between the cities. This past Friday Oku held the first of we hope to be many successful auction ventures.

With the addition of this ally in auction this will allow a larger staff, one already dedicated to a weekly effort that can work at either location and permit for greater flexiblilty to help overcome current staffing issues experienced in our cities efforts. Job well done to Gareth for initiating this new venture and we look forward to working with the city!
